Apparently, the farmer is providing shelter for the alien pilot -- who escaped from a prison inside a black hole star! And now the galactic empire that imprisoned the pilot is coming after him on Earth! Numerous robots and automated creatures teleport down to the farmer's property, and Cap repulses them one after another to safeguard the escaped prisoner. But as the battle waxes and wanes, the Living Legend realizes that he may be fighting on the wrong side. Why was the alien imprisoned in a black hole star to begin with? The answer is chilling. Is it too late to switch horses in midstream? 48 pages. Cover price $0.50.

Both the Sentinel of Liberty and the Master of Magnetism respond to a newspaper ad asking for help in taking care of two newfound mutants! What a strange advertisement to put in the paper! But surprisingly the ad is true! A local truck driver found Mister One and Mister Two on the highway. And after Mister Two drives off Magneto, Cap takes the two mutants to a SHIELD facility for medical care and safekeeping. But the X-Men's long-time foe hasn't given up on capturing the young mutants! Magneto sends his new band of evil mutants to ambush the star-spangled avenger and Mister Two, while he abducts Mister One! However hours later, Cap and Mister Two locate the Master of Magnetism's secret lair and storm inside! And then and there the tragic battle begins. "Deathwatcher!" Script by Dave Michelinie. Pencils by Gene Colan. Inks by Dave Simons. Cover by Frank Miller and Joe Rubinstein. In this unusual story, the star-spangled avenger encounters a man who derives pleasure from watching people die. In fact, it's the only thing that gives him pleasure. How bizarre! At first the strange man -- Samson Scythe -- is content to just watch criminals die in real time. But then he gets the idea...that it would be even more awesome to watch a bona fide superhero die! So with the cameras rolling, the eccentric recluse and his butler set a trap for the Sentinel of Liberty! Will Captain America exit stage left before the curtain comes down? Cameo appearances by the Constrictor and Bernie Rosenthal. 48 pages. Cover price $0.75.
