Story and Art by Ted Stearn. After a long absence, Ted Stearn's cult-favorite "Fuzz and Pluck" return in this hilariously bizarre new 4-issue mini-series. Fired from his admittedly degrading job as a waiter at Lardy's (where we left him at the end of the original F&P graphic novel), Pluck is taken in by Glibbia Honey, the manager for a ragtag team of gladiators that performs in the "Floating Arena," which is, as its name suggests, on a big boat. After witnessing the first battle (which involves a badger, a block of cheese, a mallet, and eight rats), Pluck vows that he himself will become the champion of this preposterous sport. Meanwhile, Fuzz, ambushed by a grouchy dog at his place of delivery and as yet unaware of the new developments in Pluck's life, is knocked unconscious and taken into care by a little girl! 48 pages, B&W. Mature Readers. Cover price $4.95.

  • Issue #2

Story and Art by Ted Stearn. The first issue of this mini-series about a plucked chicken who doesn't take any guff and fearful little bear was a surprise hit last year. The second issue promises even more! After escaping a little girl's bedroom full of clueless stuffed animals, Fuzz meets a dotty old man attempting to run a ferry service and determined to beat out the competition -- a bridge. Meanwhile, Pluck surprises his fellow status-hungry teammates as he emerges as a champion in the gladiator games. 48 pages, B&W. Mature Readers. Cover price $4.95.

  • Issue #3
Fuzz and Pluck in Splitsville (2001) 3

This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

Story and Art by Ted Stearn. Pluck is on his way to the top in the gladiator ring, but he can't find happiness. Fuzz has latched onto a new "protector," but is he too needy to choose wisely? It seems both Fuzz and Pluck are on the road to self-destruction, but at this point, we can't reveal how. 42 pages, B&W. Mature Readers. Cover price $4.95.

  • Issue #4
Fuzz and Pluck in Splitsville (2001) 4

Story and Art by Ted Stearn. In this issue, Fuzz comes up with a way to defeat ferryman Victor's nemesis once and for all -- with disastrous consequences. In the machiavellian world of the gladiator games, Pluck is king...until he finally meets his match. Though beloved by artists like Chris Ware and David Mazzucchelli, this might be our most underrated series. Funny, surreal, moving and engrossing. 48 pages, B&W. Mature Readers. Cover price $4.95.
