Stories, art and cover by Darrell McClure. Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted Annie Rooney comic strips from 1936. Annie Rooney was a rival syndicate's attempt to duplicate the success of Little Orphan Annie, with a character also based on an 1890s song. With her dog Zero and her unique exclamation "Gloriosky!", Annie tries to survive the Great Depression and elude her cruel legal guardian, Miss Meany. 9-in. x 12-in., 72 pages, B&W.
