"Skulls for Sale on Dismal River," art by Maurice Whitman; Kaänga, Ann, and Zulu escort Claudia Morris to her trading post; When they arrive, they learn that the Lotukos have been raiding regularly; Kaänga leaves to go to the Lokuto kraal. Ann learns that the post manager's assistant has been paying the Lokutos to raid the post and destroy it; At the Lokuto kraal, Kaänga learns the truth as well and defeats the Lokuto chief in combat in order to become the tribe's leader. Untitled story; The tigons, tiger-lion hybrids, return to Simba's jungle and kill a member of the Llamba tribe; The tribe elects to burn the jungle to destroy the tigons; Simba kills the tigons and shows their bodies to the natives.
