A comics adaptation of the 1967 animated special from Rankin-Bass, which starred Boris Karloff. MAD legends Harvey Kurtzman and Jack Davis were involved in the film's story and design. Baron Frankenstein has decided to retire, and invites all the other monsters to a banquet at his remote island castle. But when long-lost nerdy nephew Felix Franken is appointed Frankenstein's successor, a power struggle leads to monster-sized comedic chaos. Intended as a four-issue miniseries, but this was the only issue. 28 pages, B&W. Cover price $2.95.
