Knicker (c. 1900's) #3005Published May 1930 by Publisher Not Known.
This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.
The Knicker, May 1930 issue, is a promotional comic book for a clothing company that sells knickers for boys. The sub title, "Official for Pie Eaters," apparently refers to a now obscure, but one-time "hip," bit of slang. On page eight, Uncle Sam asks Tim for help to fly a Pacific-to-Atlantic airmail flight to deliver the mail. The regular pilot is sick from fright on account of the ghosts. Unfortunately, Tim wrote down how the story turns ends in secret code. So unless you also get your hands on the code book - see Tim's Official Handbook (1933), good luck deciphering the story Tim wrote. But not to worry, the other pages are perfectly readable. The back cover features a Levy Bros. ad for a boy's Palm Beach Suit (just $8.50). 12 pages, black and white, mini comic-sized.
