Volume 2 - 1st printing. "Dead But Not Out!" By Pete Von Sholly. The confluence of cinema and comic books is a frequently raised subject, but now veteran motion-picture storyboard artist Pete Von Sholly bridges the gap once again! MORBID Volume 2, the sequel to last year's groundbreaking publication, blurs the line between these two mediums even further. Von Sholly takes the time-honored European "fumetti" method to its next level with custom-sculpted models, costumed actors, and computer-generated special effects! The stories themselves run the gamut from tongue-in-cheek lampoons of classic sci-fi movies to gut-wrenching horror in the Lovecraft tradition. The future of graphic storytelling may well be in Pete Von Sholly's MORBID! Von Sholly's experience working on countless sci-fi and horror genre films (The Mask, Darkman, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Mars Attacks, etc.), as well as his experience as a Disney animation artist and conceptual designer, come together to unveil an inventive leap in visual storytelling. Softcover, 96 pages, full color.NOTE: "Only the most skilled and committed of writers can have such an instinct for which wrong turns to take, and Von Sholly's ear for pulpy overstatement with an underlying literary truth is unerring. A-list B-movie-ism of consummate craft and sumptuous imagination; a genre unto itself. Thanks for each unholy, cobwebbed page!" - Adam McGovern of the Jack Kirby Collector"Buy these books! When Von Sholly, mad genius that he is, is committed- and he will be- they will go for enormous bucks on eBay. And if they don't, well, you'll still have one heck of a stack of hilariously funny books!" - Tony Isabella, Comics Buyer's Guide Cover price $14.95.

Written by Steven Grant. Art by Sebastian Fiumara. Cover by Jacen Burrows. This summer, Steven Grant, the man who showed Marvel how to do the Punisher, unleashes a new breed of killer. Who is Evan Knox? Anyone he wants to be. How do you catch a killer who can jump into any body he wants, do anything he desires, and escape without a trace? The only evidence of his presence is the poor confused owner of the body holding the literal smoking gun wondering what just happened. As for Evan, he's just chillin' in safety, the only indication of his departure is that the mindjump makes his body temperature drop. This specially priced preview book gives you a chunk of finished pages along with tons of behind-the-scenes work by Steven Grant and his stunning new artistic discovery, Sebastian Fiumara. 16 pages, B&W. Mature Readers. Cover price $1.99.

Mopsy, one of the first female-centric comic strips, by pioneering female artist Gladys Parker, combines an Ever Meulen art style with pantomime-style gags and good-girl art. Mopsy's dad suggests she get a job to earn some money, but with clothing, supplies and business-school tuition, he's paying far more than she's earning. This four-page story by Parker is original to this comic, not a reprint from the strip. Mopsy adds new meaning to the phrase, "paint yourself into a corner." Mopsy tries to photograph a high-diver, but she needs to hold still. Mopsy returned to comic-book pages a year later in Mopsy (1948) #1. Mopsy; Virgil Stagg. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
