It's only one small robot sent to guard one small high school. Desperate Earth commandos prepare to take out the alien ambassador, but not before he uses his giant robot to exact reprisal for Hoichi's actions. Little does he know that there's a bigger enemy waiting in Japan than a kid in a black gun-suit. MATURE READERS On sale January 16 b&w, 24pg (3 of 8) . . . $2.99 Cover price $2.99.

    Cannon God Exaxxion (2001) 17

KENICHI SONODA On sale September 17, b&w, 32pg, $2.99 Yeah, it was really cute in that last issue, when that darling little Akane ended up in Hoichi's lap while he was piloting his giant robot, Exaxxion. It was fantastic that the sexy android, Isaka, was able to go and rescue Akane and Hoichi's mom from those pesky alien forces, and now the two are up in the cockpit, and what's that in the way of Hoichi's view? Why, it's a cute pair of panties on an understandably embarrassed schoolgirl (this IS manga after all)! But it's not all red faces and panty peeks. No. Strange wires have started snaking out from Akane's leg, and it probably has something to do with that odd bullet the Riofaldian doctor shot into her. At any rate, it's causing a lot of pain for poor Akane, and it's about to cause a lot of trouble for Hoichi and friends. Find out why! Cover price $2.99.

  • Issue #18

Meanwhile, the Riofaldians will also turn against their own in an attempt to secure another XXX unit so they can do battle with Hoichi and his giant robot. This is a lynch pin issue, starting what feels like a new arc in a series that defies story arcs! Now the fight is very political, yet no less physical, and the back story is about to start pouring forth. Stay tuned to Cannon God Exaxxion, it's just getting started, and it's already knee-deep in intensity! Cover price $2.99.
