Cover number is #12-426-308. Dell Movie Classics presented comics based on Hollywood films (not all of them classics). This issue is about the life of TE Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia. Although the classic David Lean film with Peter O'Toole was released a year earlier, this is neither an official adaptation of the film, nor a true "Movie Classic." Dispatched to Arabia during World War I, military "observer" T.E. Lawrence quickly becomes involved with the desert people and their struggle. Soon he is a key player in the Arabs' efforts to repel the Turkish invaders and recapture the city of Damascus. Plus articles about the life of Lawrence and the importance of water in the desert. The Legend of Lawrence; Lawrence; Water: A Precious Thing. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.12.
