TOYFARE: THE TOY MAGAZINE #142 $4.99 WOW WOW, WARCRAFT! o Okay, it's been a few years and a bazillion paying subscribers...we think we can safely say that World of Warcraft is not a passing fad. More like a worldwide phenomenon! And here at ToyFare, we know the only way to celebrate a phenomenon is to buy a crapload of merchandise. So join us as we horde (get it?) the latest toys and collectibles from DC Unlimited, Upper Deck and more! World of Warcraft toys from DC Unlimited grace one of this issue's covers! TERMINATION SALVATION o There's no future but what you make...and there are no Terminator Salvation toys but what Playmates makes. So in honor of the new toys based on the most post-apocalyptic Terminator flick yet, we're taking a look back at the various and convoluted timelines that led us into this mess. Plus, a closer look at Playmates' new toys that let YOU become a T-800 endoskeleton! Playmates' Terminator Salvation figures appear on one of this issue's covers. THE WELKER-KEPT SECRET o You may not know his name, but the movies he's appeared in have made more money than anyone else on Earth, and if you've ever watched a cartoon in the past 30 years you've probably heard his voice. We speak to Frank Welker about his entire career, from Scooby-Doo to Megatron, and find out how you create a voice for a giant evil transforming gun. ART SCHOOL o We dig the heck out of toys...but can they really be art? Funk yeah! Get an introductory course to the 'toys as art' urban vinyl scene and its major players like Kidrobot and Toy2R, and in no time you'll be shouting 'these belong in a museum!' TWISTED TOYFARE THEATRE o In this issue: You will believe a toy can talk! And tell fart jokes! And take part in some sort of narrative with a beginning, middle and some semblance of an end. And it all happens in this (and, well, every) issue of 'Twisted ToyFare Theatre'! Cover price $4.99.
