Frankie Luer's Space Adventures with Davey Rocket (1955), distributed by the Luer Packing Company and printed by Western Publishing.. It tells an oddball story about an animated hot dog character and his travels in space! Frankie (the hot dog) and Davey (a boy) are on a rocket trip to the moon. But they keep hearing a buzzing signal, so they decide to follow it - 24 million miles past the moon! They land on the planet Venus, where they find moss covered cities, mushroom people, mechanical dogs, and lots of fun adventure. A funny and cute comic book with an animated hot dog as one of the main characters.
