Smooth Criminal. Story by John Stephenson, David Newman, and Michael Jackson. Art by Abel Laxamana. Cover by George Baker. Sometimes listed as Blackthorne 3-D Series (1985) #75. Blackthorne Publishing presents another in its series of 3-D comics, this one featuring an adaptation of the Michael Jackson video anthology Moonwalker, specifically, the Smooth Criminal music video. The licensing fees and low sales of this comic contributed to Blackthornes demise in 1990. Ironically, the comic became a collector's item after Jackson's death in 2009. 32 pages, B&W with 3-D effects. Cover price $2.50.
