In a sort of primitive version of The Da Vinci Code, Spy Smasher learns that Da Vinci desgined a destructive secret weapon and hid the plans in a code, and he must find it before the Nazis do. Spy Smasher faces gladiatorial combat in the Roman Arena. A draftee deserts rather than serve in WWII, and soon he's recruited by Axis agents, but Spy Smasher offers him a chance at redemption.
