"When the Symbioship Strikes!", script by Paul Levitz, pencils by Joe Staton, inks by Dick Giordano; Power Girl is under attack from Andrew Vinson, trapped in an armored suit; Power Girl recognizes the suit, and gives it a solid punch; However, instead of damaging the suit, Power Girl hurts Vinson; As the G.C.P.D. distracts the suit, Power Girl uses a trick learned by Wildcat, and pins the suit long enough to remove Vinson from it; Once Vinson is removed, the armor transforms into a spaceship; Power Girl reveals that it is the spaceship that brought her from Krypton to Earth; We find out that while Power Girl was being carried from Krypton to Earth, the ship created a virtual environment for her to live in; The ship, called a "Symbioship," taught Power Girl everything she needed to know to grow from toddler to twenty years of age. 36 Pages, Full Color.     Hosting this PS Artbooks volume of Ghostly Tales is Mr. L. Dedd (later changed to I. M. Dedd), a middle-aged gentleman with purplish skin and horns who dressed like a vampire. Ghostly Tales was part of a wave of new horror and suspense comics published by Charlton.

    It debuted with issue #55, taking over the numbering of Blue Beetle. Over the course of its 18-year run, Ghostly Tales featured a stellar line-up of regular contributors to the book including Rocco Mastroserio, Steve Ditko, Ernie Bache, Charles Nicholas, Dick Giordano, Pat Boyette, Bill Ely and Rudy Palais.

    Volume 1 - 1st printing. "June 1961-January 1962!" Collects Gorgo (1961-1965) #1-5. Cover by Steve Ditko. After a seaquake, a huge lizard-like creature walked out of the ocean and almost destroyed a fishing village in Ireland. Fortunately for the village, the same quake that brought the 65 foot monster to land has also grounded a salvage ship, the crew of which proved up to the task of capturing the beast.
