Crime comics from Mainline, the publisher founded by comics legends Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, creators of Captain America. A medical examiner investigates a murder, in a story from a time when forensics police stories were still rare, with art by future Marvel legend Ross Andru (and possibly his longtime inker Mike Esposito). Detectives Mack and Brady try to take down "Slots" Benedict, who runs all the slot machines in the City. A cop takes to the skies, in a story written when police helicopters, as well as helicopters in general, were still a new concept, with a Kirby splash page.
