Released in 1996 by Hodder and Stoughton. Written and illustrated by Albert Uderzo, who died in 2020 at age 92. Translated from the original French by Anthea Bell and Derke Hockridge. An homage (of sorts) to Kirk Douglas' portrayal of Spartacus, this story concerns the merry band led by Asterix getting involved with Spartakis on a voyage to the fabled island of Atlantis. Adventure and laughs ensue. Hardcover with no dustjacket. Laminated color cover, 9-in. x 11 1/2-in., 48 pages, full color.
