"The Rules of the Game!" Script by Tom DeFalco. Pencils by Ron Frenz. Inks by Bob Layton. Cover by Charles Vess. Peter Parker visits Matt Murdock inside a homeless shelter and is shocked to see the sad condition of his occasional crime-fighting ally. The Kingpin has ruined Matt's life. Somebody has to deliver the payback! Will it be the Amazing Spider-Man? Cameo appearances by the Arranger and Mary Jane Watson. Second story: "Cry of the Wendigo!" Script and art by Charles Vess. During a winter storm, a group of criminals kidnaps the young daughter of a Canadian diplomat! Auspiciously the web-slinger is close by and pursues the kidnappers into Central Park! However the combination of ice, wind, and snow disorient and debilitate the wall-crawler. Spider-Man needs help to save this young girl...perhaps help from the Wendigo! (Notes: The letters page includes a map of Central Park (by Charles Vess) showing where the action took place. This issue includes a full-page ad featuring Captain America and the "Hunt for Scourge" storyline. This issue was reprinted in Marvel Tales 285.) 32 pages. Cover price $0.75.
