Each DC Finest volume features the complete adventures of the greatest characters in comics. Written and drawn by classic creators, these are the stories that transformed the DC Universe forever! DC FINEST: THE FLASH: THE HUMAN THUNDEROLT features these incredible issues and more! MEET BARRY ALLEN – THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE! A new age in comics called for a new Flash, and in 1986s Showcase #4, police scientist Barry Allen inherited that mantle when a lab accident granted him super-speed abilities. Drawing inspiration from his childhood comic book hero, Barry donned a scarlet costume and became the Silver Age version of the Flash! As the latest iteration of the Scarlet Speedster, Barry could run amazing speeds, create whirlwinds with his arms, and vibrate his molecules so fast that he could cross barriers between realities. These abilities would help him become one of the most important characters in the pre-Crisis era. This volume contains stories from September 1956 to September 1961, featuring Barry's origin and the monumental meeting of Barry and Jay Garrick in Flash of Two Worlds. Softcover, 632 pages, full color. Teen Cover price $39.99.
