He pursued research in neurology and worked as a clinical physician, treating patients suffering from hysteria and similar conditions. Based on this work, Freud went on to pioneer the discipline of psychoanalysis. He developed a very close relationship with the psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, despite the difference in their ages, but later in life the two became estranged due to differences in their psychological beliefs. As a Jew, Freud was forced into exile in London due to the rise of the Nazis, where he died a year later at the age of 83.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. Story and art by Hiroyuki. Equal parts cute, silly, and subversive, the four-panel comedy manga Ahogaru was a surprise hit in Japan. Fans of anarchic slice-of-life gag manga like Azumanga Daioh, these are the new laughs you've been waiting for! Yoshiko is a hopefully clueless high school girl. Her rock-paper-scissors strategy is "rock." She somehow gets zeroes on multiple-choice tests. And she has an often-nearly-fatal weakness for bananas. Her devoted friends have no choice but to hang around and make sure nobody takes advantage of her. (Of course, the entertainment value might have something to do with it, too.) Cute characters, weird gags, and lots and lots of bananas! Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 176 pages, B&W. Cover price $12.99.
