Comic strip reprints from Ad Carter's long-running "Just Kids" strip. "Just Kids" was about a kid gang, inspired by the contemporary "Reg'lar Fellers" strip by Gene Byrnes. "Just Kids" ran daily in Hearst papers from 1923 to 1947, and continued to run in the Sunday funnies until Carter's death in 1957.

Collects comic strips from Jan. 19 - Feb. 25, 1931 and Nov. 16 - Dec. 5, 1931. Mickey and his rival Kat Nipp get into a contest to tie knots in each other's tails. (This volume contains the only known reprint of the infamous strip of 2/4/31, where Kat Nipp actually snips off the end of Mickey's tail with a pair of scissors!) Also, Mickey works as volunteer fireman. Mickey Mouse vs Kat Nipp; Fireman Mickey; Clarabelle's Boarding House. Final issue of the series. 10-in. x 10-in., 48 pages, B&W.

This 1928 Presidential campaign giveaway contains 18 pages of black and white cartoons by Satterfield and four pages of text, all detailing the life of the Grand Old Man, plus one page entitled "Pungent Epigrams from Herbert Hoover's Acceptance Speech." Two versions of this item exist, one with a text cover, and this one with an illustrated cover. Both contain the same original comics material by Satterfield. 24 pages, black and white, 7 in. x 9 in.
