Likewise, the Phantom's costume is red, which is how the character appears in Italy. This issue includes the very first Sunday strip, a retelling of the Phantom's origin. The Phantom receives a coded message from the dying Colonel Winn, who implores him to deliver it to a secret agent in order to prevent a catastrophe.
