Equally beautiful and brutal, Fiumara captures the elegant savagery that makes Kraven one of Spidey's most iconic rogues in this standout page! A flashback to Kraven's early days, this story (written by JM DeMatteis!) sees Kraven hired by the mob to kill a rival- and return the money because the prey isn't up to Kraven's standards. When his employers don't take kindly to Kraven's code of honor, he and his avian companion Dunya quickly and expertly dispatch the goons in a wave of frenetic and violent panels, leaving only the shocked boss alive. Fiumara's inks are truly magnificent, especially on Kraven's costume, and this is a fantastic showcase for his talents. Blue line pencil and ink on Marvel Comics art board. 11" x 17 1/4".
