Bob Rozakis' Secret History of All-American Comics, which was serialized in Back Issue and Alter Ego magazines, is a fascinating alternate history of comics that imagines a world where rather than selling to DC, Max Gaines bought the company. This concept of course necessitated art to illustrate this alternate universe where Green Lantern and The Flash were the top dogs of comicdom and Batman and Superman were the characters reimagined for the Silver Age amongst other changes.
