Masterworks Edition limited to 1,500 copies. Includes every plate from volumes 1 and 2 and the bonus material that comprised 'Volume 3'. Prints from Jerry Robinson, Selby Kelly, Gil Kane, Jeffery Jones, Neal Adams, Berni Wrightson, Mike Kaluta, Milton Caniff, Barry Windsor-Smith, Jack Kirby, George Evans, Jim Steranko, Johnny Hart, John Severin, Russell Myers, Frank Frazetta, Burne Hogarth (x2 "The Four Horsemen" and "Prince Machiavelli"), Al Williamson (x2 one untitled piece and "Space Soldiers"), Wally Wood (x2 "Idyll" and "Dweller in the Dungeon"), Harvey Kurtzman ("Isn't It Fun to Be Scared?" and "Sex Objects"), Will Eisner ("The Treasure" and "Swamp Rescue"), Hal Foster (Untitled, one in color and one B&W). Most are signed, but the first 50 of the series had additional signatures on prints that were unsigned for the rest of the run and also include unsigned copies of the additional signed prints included with the run. Refer to the specific item listing to find out if the copies listed are from the first 50. Each plate is printed on archival fine art paper, and measures 12" x 16".

View scans- Envelope is in moderate condition with some foxing and spine stress. Plates are in overall excellent condition with the exception 'Death of an Ace" by George Evans which displays some foxing, mostly in the margin area.

Limited Edition Portfolio. Volumes two and three were combined in the final illustrated envelope by Burne Hogarth, and include seven plates that are also signed and numbered to 1,500, as well as eight more bonus plates that were thrown into the mix as a "thank you" to the people that had purchased these in advance and had to wait for some of the artists to make good on their commitments to this project. The envelope containing Volumes two and three contains: "Death of an Ace" (color print) by George Evans, "Through Whom my Power Flows" by Michael Kaluta, "Teddy Bear" by Bernie Wrightson, "My Good Buddies" by Jack Davis, "Tarzan" by Neal Adams, "Star Hawks" by Gil Kane, "Pogo" by Selby Kelly, "Merlin" by Hal Foster...all signed by the artists.
