After several busy days, the Avengers briefly convene at their Fifth Avenue mansion before going their separate ways for rest and relaxation. However Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne decide to remain at the mansion to work on a new experiment involving red ants. But the dramatic appearance of the Whirlwind (formerly known as the Human Top) interrupts their work! Goliath and the Wasp have defeated him in the past. However the Whirlwind scouted Avengers Mansion earlier in the day (as Jan's chauffer) -- and he blasts them with a reducing ray! Then the Whirlwind throws the pair into Hank's ant farm without their cybernetic equipment. So Hank and Jan cannot talk to the ants! And the ants are very hungry!
