After Max Gaines' death, this Western series was the first comic by new EC publisher Bill Gaines to shift from "Educational" to "Entertaining Comics." Actor Gregory Hale uses his makeup and acting talents to become a real-life train robber in the Old West, with art by H. C. Kiefer. Future EC legend Al Feldstein contributes his first published comics story, a tale of cursed Aztec treasure. In a pre-Code story, outlaw Red Jake and dance-hall girl Selma conspire over murder and a fortune in diamonds.
