Cartoonist Frank Johnson takes over the Li'l Genius character from creator Harry Betancourt. Consequently, Ollie forgets about the magic cape that gives him superpowers, and resembles Dennis the Menace even more strongly. When Ollie's hijinks result in his dad being splattered with house paint, a neighbor thinks he's got smallpox. Ollie causes mischief while wearing his space helmet in the grocery store.
