So, while the larger contents of the magazine would probably have limited interest to comic book collectors, Spider-Fans might want to add this to their collection for the cover (by John Romita, Jr.) alone, or maybe for the featured article, w/photos and illustrations, about Peter Cuneo, who was the CEO of Marvel Enterprises at the time of publishing and a major player in leading Marvel after they filed for bankruptcy. 8-1/2" x 11", partial b&w/color, 46 slick pages.

The name Alfred Hitchcock is synonymous with suspense?that is to say, masterful, spine-tingling, thrilling, shocking, excruciating, eye-boggling suspense. With triumphs such as Rebecca, Vertigo, Rear Window, and Psycho, Hitchcock (1899-1980) fashioned a new level of cinematic intrigue and fear through careful pacing, subtlety, and suggestiveness. This complete guide traces Hitchcock's life and career from his earliest silent films right through to his last picture in 1976, Family Plot.

Updated with fresh images, the book combines detailed entries for each of Hitchcock's 53 films, an incisive essay that sheds light on his fear-inducing devices, photos of the master at work, and an illustrated list of each of his cameos, together adding up to a movie buff's dream.

Written by Noel Simsolo. Art and cover by Dominique He.

In 1960, the film Psycho traumatized viewers around the world. Never before had the angst or the suspense been so well presented in cinema. But where does the talent of this Alfred Hitchcock come from, the one now nicknamed the "Master of Suspense"?

To find out, we must first go back to his youth, in England, during the first half of the 20th century. Having grown up in a Catholic family - a religious originality that will be felt in a large part of his cinema - "Hitch" is an atypical Englishman who, very early on, has a taste for telling stories. The temptation to work for the cinema will not be long in coming, first as a graphic designer at Islington Studios in London where his visual talent will lead him to make his debut behind the camera, as an assistant and then as a full director. It is also here that he will meet Alma Reville, his assistant and wife who will accompany him throughout his storied career, including the jump to the big time in Hollywood.

Discover the life of undoubtedly one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. The story of a colorful, demanding and quite simply extraordinary artist.

    Hardcover, 8-in. x 10-in., 320 pages, B&W.

    Cover price $44.99.
