Synopsis | With the Magus in control of the Infinity Gauntlet and with his duplicate universe poised to take over the one in existence, Galactus sends earth's heroes in one last ditch effort to stop the villain; As the heroes battle their evil duplicates, Magus snaps his fingers and puts them all in stasis; Thanos confronts the Magus and the pair battle, freeing Warlock from his restraints; He touches the Infinity Gauntlet and he and the Magus engage in a battle of wills for the fate of the universe; Hidden within Warlock, the combined might of Infinity and Eternity emerge to battle the Magus as the heroes try to flee the destructive wave caused by the conflict in Galactus' ship; As the ship breaks up, the heroes surprisingly find themselves restored back to their home locations with no damage being done; The Infinity Watch are returned to Monster Isle but Warlock is in a coma from his mind blowing battle; Thanos explains that the Reality Gem in the Infinity Gauntlet was a fake and this provided an avenue for the Magus to be defeated; Eternity appears before the Watch and proclaims that the Infinity Gems will never be allowed to work together again at any time or for any reason; The Magus finds himself trapped within the Soul Gem as a spirit that can do no harm; Thanos returns to his farm; Somewhere in space, the Goddess, the good half expelled from Adam Warlock, has possession of the five Cosmic Cubes which she has stolen from the Magus. |
