| Synopsis |
When Annabella is sexually assaulted by the priest who is supposed to be acting as her guardian, it is revealed that she carries a birthmark identifying her as the next queen of Sicily; Raimondo flees to Emperor Gualtiero and tells him this piece of news as he promises to procure him entrance to the island monastery where Annabella is staying; When Annabella witnesses the monks disfiguring themselves in trying to wield a mysterious gauntlet, she takes up the Witchblade herself and defends her home from Gualtiero's attacking forces. |
