Notes | Indexer Note: The original G.I. Joe series by Marvel also featured issue #21 as a silent issue and told of Snake-Eyes rescuing Scarlett from Destro's castle, a mission where silence was vital. There was a follow up story in G.I. Joe Yearbook #3 which also contained a silent story featuring Scarlett and Storm Shadow rescuing Snake-Eyes from Cobra, also relatively a stealthy undertaking. This issue, however, continued from the last where everyone was talking and shooting at will has no reason to be silent other than the novelty. Instead of fabricating a reason why it should be silent, the creators simply didn't put dialogue in the story. This issue is, however, the only time that Mike Zeck, a frequent cover artist of both the Marvel and Image series drew an issue of G.I. Joe. |
