Synopsis | As the JSA continues to refute claims from Batman's diary, Per Degaton (in his advanced years) makes his move as he goes to a site, where the time machine he first attempted to steal from Prof. Zee appears. As he attempts to open it, a dying Prof. Zee comes out of it, and with his dying breath, states Degaton (his lab assistant many years ago) as his murderer in front of Helena Wayne. Before Degaton can kill her as well for witnessing this, the JSA appears, figuring out what Batman left as clues in his diary vs. Degaton. Rather than go back to prison again after many years, Degaton commits suicide, and afterwards Helena reveals to both Dick and the JSA that her father was dying from cancer after so many years of smoking his pipe. Dick then asks for forgiveness from them, and they say they'll have Robin on the team. |
