Synopsis | Gardner is granted a ring by a militant minority faction of the Guardians (as seen in Crisis 9 (DC, 1985 series)). Gardner develops his peculiar attitude problem, presumably a result of his brain injury at Sinestro's hands in the antimatter universe (Green Lantern 116 and 123 (DC, 1976 series)) as the Guaridans were slowly healing him to full recovery (behind the scenes revealed this issue). Gardner's history is recapped, and he gets his new tough-guy costume. |
