Synopsis | In her apartment, Sally Barnes is puzzled by her cat being afraid of her, and she wonders if it has anything to do with a dream she had the night before, which revealed that Sally had been given the "Voice of the Lorelei." She calls her friend, Mary to tell her about this and jokingly makes a wish that Mary would turn into a blue-bottle fly....and she does! Sally then ponders other wishes she would make if she could....and they all come true as well, which disturbs her landlady. Unfortunately, another wish by Sally evicts her landlady from her room...and she is termed a witch by the press and is brought in for trial. During the trial, she wishes away the items she had originally wished for, sealing her fate. But her attorney, Senator Bentley, believes there is an answer and contacts the JSA for help. The Justice Society visits Sally in her cell [being over-heard by another prisoner, the Slicer], and she relates her strange dream to the JSA.....about how a strange dwarf led her to a hillside and the entrance to Fairyland. Convinced of her innocence in the matter, the All-Stars get a 24-hour reprieve to get evidence to prove she isn't isn't guilty of murder of her boss. Meanwhile, Slicer escapes from prison, but is unaware that Black Canary has noted his escape, and trails him. The JSA discovers, by way of G.L.'s ring, the entrance in a hillside that Sally Rogers saw in her dream, and they follow the steps to a metal door, marked forbidden to enter by the Lorelei. Using their combined strength, they bust through into a strange land, and are met by Rapunzel, who warns them of an Ogre nearby. Suddenly, the creature appears and a short battle ensues, but the All-Stars are able to drive it away. The Lorelei is nearby and tricks the JSA to look into her mirror, which turns all the members to stone! But Rapunzel visits a wise woman, whose spell revives them...and they suddenly realize this strange land is Fairyland! |

Synopsis | Now that the JSA knows that they are in Fairyland, they also realize that Sally Barnes has been given the "Voice of the Lorelei," and that they must capture the Lorelei herself and make her confess so that Sally is saved from electrocution back home. G.L., Hawkman and Johnny Thunder agree to hunt down the Lorelei at her dark castle, Dr. Mid-Nite and Wonder Woman will track down the Ogre, while Flash and the Atom will try to locate Rapunzel so they can protect her. At the same time, Black Canary has followed the Slicer to the mountainside entrance of Fairyland, and follows him inside. Meanwhile, Flash & Atom locate Rapunzel being menaced by the dwarf, whom we now know to be Rumpelstiltskin and who Sally saw in her dream, and the dwarf captures her and escapes by means of a black cat. Flash, whose speed is suddenly affected, encounters the wise woman, who tells the Scarlet Speedster where to find magical shoes of swiftness that will allow him to regain his speed. So, he and Atom head for a cave where the shoes can be found and encounter horrible creatures. While the Atom battles them, Flash finds and dons the shoes. Elsewhere, the Amazon Maiden and the Man of Midnight locate the Ogre , who is carrying a sack with friends of Hansel and Gretel in it. They succeed in defeating the Ogre and freeing the two children, and, in appreciation, Hansel tells Wonder Woman that she can overcome the Lorelei with the Cap of Knowledge, located in the magic well near the city of witches. The duo head off in the direction of the city, unaware that the Lorelei has witnessed this event and sends three massive dogs after the pair. Wonder Woman and Dr. Mid-Nite battle them fiercely, but weaken rapidly. Meanwhile, Green Lantern, Johnny and Hawkman have just encountered the Good Fairy, who has had a spell cast over her by the Lorelei, and she tells the trio that only magic works in Fairyland, not science. In order to free her from the spell, she tells them that they must proceed on to the dark castle and overcome the dragon which guards it. Unfortunately, the dragon, with its tail, knocks our heroes unconscious. The scene shifts to the cave in which the Flash has just donned the shoes of swiftness, and his speed enables him & Atom to overcome the creatures and track down Rapunzel, still the prisoner of Rumpelstiltskin. His magic cigar overcomes the pair and he makes good his escape with Rapunzel just as a talking pigeon, sent from Wonder Woman, tells Flash that she and Dr. Mid-Nite have a tip on the Cap of Knowledge, but are being attacked by wild dogs. |

The trio head for the dark castle and enter in order to find the magic well and the Cap of Knowledge, when a witch on a broomstick discovers them and sends out an alarm. While Wonder Woman jumps into the well to secure the Cap, Dr. Mid-Nite and Black Canary lead the witches on a merry chase, finally taking refuge in the witch's den. There the Man of Midnight, unable to use his blackout bombs, instead uses a spell to cause darkness and confuse the witches. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman has control of the Cap of Knowledge and learns the location of the Lorelei, who is with the Slicer and making plans to turn the JSA members into toads! At the same time, Atom and Flash finish talking with the pigeon and are about to head to the castle, but hear the pigeon warn them NOT to touch the magic bucket once inside the dark castle. Elsewhere, with Green Lantern and Hawkman still unconscious from the blow caused by the dragon's tail, Johnny Thunder discovers a magic wishing ring, puts it on his finger and wishes that he could knock the stuffing out of the dragon. He immediately grows to huge proportions and accomplishes his wish as well as releasing the Good Fairy from the spell placed on her by the Lorelei. Once revived, G.L. and Hawkman head toward the dark castle with Johnny, and as they enter, they see a doe thirsting....Johnny bends over the magic bucket to give it a drink when G.L. decides to use his ring instead to provide water for the doe. The trio then enter a dungeon and return several prisoners to their true selves [with the help of the Lantern's ring], and they succeed in capturing Rumpelstiltskin by taking his magic cigar away from him. Just then, the Lorelei and Slicer appear on the scene. Slicer is overcome immediately, but as the trio advances on the Lorelei, she casts a spell and all three JSA heroes disappear! |
