Synopsis | Professor X reconstructs a map to the buried treasure of 17th Century pirate Captain Kidder. The treasure is buried on the Pacific island of Pogo Pogo. On the way there, the Leakin' Lena is diverted by Dishonest John to cross the International Date Line in the mysterious waters of Latitude Q and is thrown back into time into the 17th Century. There Beany and Cecil meet Captain Kidder, who trades a Miner Bird (who can spot gold mines) for Beany's calendar watch. Cecil pulls the Lena into a whirlpool that sends them back into the present. They continue on the way to Pogo Pogo, where Dishonest John steals the miner bird. Wong's seaweed soup gets the bird back and it leads them to Capt. Kidder's treasure chest. In the chest is Beany's watch, with the year set to 1693. |
