Synopsis | Dr. Krill Stromer, an oceanographer and mechanical engineer, built a radical bathysphere from old inherited notes. Once submerged, it transformed her into a super-adaptable "Angel of the Sea" (AKA SubHuman) who can change color, endure killing cold, breathe underwater, etc. Yet her presence also changes the sea around her, so ancient extinct monsters start surfacing. Now Navy divers pull her aboard a mysterious research vessel. Krill doesn't understand the changes, only that ancestral memories (of a medieval female warrior) guide her. Furthermore, she submerged in the Anarctic Ocean but popped up in the Arctic! The ship is attacked by 1) giant icky sea-things that swarm aboard, and 2) a saboteur working for some mystery boss who hijacks a helicopter to kidnap Krill. Sailors shoot and hack sea monsters, but Krill notes it's not working. Grabbing an anchor for weight, she dives overboard through the ice... Continued... |
