Synopsis |
Flash shows a mysterious black egg to a gathering of JSA members and Green Lantern determines that the egg is in fact his son Obsidian, but their investigations are interrupted when the villain Tapeworm takes hostages and calls out Wildcat to face him. While the rest of the JSA heads out to meet the challenge, Mr. Terrific stays behind, with new recruits All-American Kid and King Chimera, to investigate the egg. The JSA discovers that Tapeworm is not alone, but has a cadre of villains -- calling themselves the Global Ultra Society of Dread -- backing him up. As the JSA falls in battle, back at JSA Headquarters a seemingly possessed All-American Kid attacks Mr. Terrific, literally stabbing him in the back. |

Notes |
It is not clear which versions of some of the villains are present here. Kid Carnevil's impersonation of All-American Kid and the fact that there never was a Golden Age All-American Kid are revealed in Justice Society of America (DC, 2007 series) #33. |
