Synopsis | The X-Men are settling into their new as-yet-unnamed headquarters in San Francisco. Storm arrives, explaining that she convinced T'Challa to let her "scope out" the team's current methods as he is helping fund them through Mutantes Sans Frontieres because she was bored in Wakanda. She arrives in time to join the team, in new street clothes designed to help them avoid anti-superhero sentiment, as they answer a call from the San Francisco police to help with a mysterious burning body. The unusual genetic code of the corpse and the notebooks found with it that describe the next destination of its killer send the team, now switched to more traditional superhero gear, to Chaparanga Beach, the graveyard of starships. |
