Carnival worker and crash car derby racer Golly Munhollen is on clean-up duty again as Satan has ripped off his face and made the rubes puke all over Brother Dare's revival tent; Jonesing for a plug of chaw, he worms five bucks out of Vaughn by promising to grab the tush of fat lady turned strong lady, Pig Anderson; Fulfilling the dare, he honks Pig's buns and gets punched in the face for his trouble; Floating into unconsciousness, Golly meets an angel (or at least a triangle that claims to be an angel) who asks him to become God's agent on earth to battle the forces of evil who are trying to bring about the final apocalypse which has been called off for lack of interest; With the promise of awesome powers and answers to the seminal questions of life, Golly accepts. |
