Synopsis | Argent has Agent Haruspex psychically pull the current location of Wolf from the corpse of Cathy Cthulu; On an isolated Montana farm, Ellis asks his parents why he cannot hang out with friends his age or get a regular job; When Ellis unconsciously takes pills to help stave off radiation poisoning, his folks lock him in an underground bunker beneath the house and prepare for the confrontation they know is approaching; Ellis is attacked by Wolf who has been hiding in the bunker; A powerful explosion cracks the bunker open and Ellis finds that his father has transformed into an ultra-sapien form and is battling Argent's Hunter-Killer troops; He also discovers that his mother caused the blast by sacrificing her life; Argent realizes that Ellis is a human catalog of ultra-sapien powers; To keep the knowledge of his people out of Hunter-Killer hands, Ellis' father tries to kill him by exploding in a burst of bionuclear energy; Ellis survives and is taken by Argent while Wolf looks on from the shadows. |
