In a surprising move, Spider-Man absconds with Gwen Stacy to keep her away from the deceitful Sam Bullit. The web-slinger would never harm his dear girlfriend, but a young man standing on the sidewalk named Bobby Drake doesn't know that. So when Iceman (of the original X-Men) sees Gwen in apparent distress, he zooms to the rescue! However the wall-crawler doesn't have time to fight Iceman, because he's just watched Sam Bullit's goons abduct Joe Robertson!
