"A Monster in Our Midst!", script by Len Wein, pencils by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Joe Staton (finished art), inks by Joe Staton; While the Hulk sadly walks the city remembering Jarella, a group of bandits attacks a jailhouse with a special tank; They rescue a friend and on their way out, they accidentally hit the green giant (what a mistake!); Hulk gets mad and destroys the tank; The cops arrive but Hulk leaps away and rests in an alley, turning into Banner; Meanwhile at the jailhouse, a broken water pipe wets a paper box that was kept in another cell; Inside the box there's the Absorbing Man!; The villain is able to break free from jail. "And Call the Doctor...Druid!", script by Len Wein, pencils by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Ernie Chan (finished art), inks by Ernie Chan; Doctor Druid finds Bruce Banner in an alley and asks him for Hulk's help; According to Druid, Hulk's strength is the only hope to prevent the Maha Yogi from conquering or destroying the world. Bruce offers his help but refuses to turn into the Hulk; Druid takes Banner to Yogi's mansion where they are attacked by mercenaries; Hulk "wakes up", defeats them easily, and reaches Yogi, who uses his mental powers to take control of Hulk; Druid does the same thing, and both wizards start battling over the Hulk's control; The Hulk can't take it any longer, and knocks himself out by hitting his forehead very hard on the floor; Cameos by Thor and the X-Men (Cyclops, the Beast, Angel, Iceman, and Marvel Girl). "The Monster and the Mystic!", script by Len Wein, pencils by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Ernie Chan (finished art), inks by Ernie Chan; Hulk is unconscious so Doctor Druid must face Mongu on his own!; The mystic dodges from the gladiator's hatchet but is knocked out by Maha Yogui's mental beam; Hulk and Druid are bonded to strong chains that release electric shocks if they move; Druid enters the Hulk's mind and triggers the transformation; Bruce Banner sleeps through the chains and unties the mystic; But when they try escaping from the cell, Mongu is waiting for them; The shaggy giant takes both to his master who wants a Hulk Vs Mongu battle on the palace's arena!; Banner is not willing to turn into his mightier persona so he's given an axe to face the cosmic gladiator; The physicist dodges Mongu's attacks; But eventually Hulk shows up; Green Skin proves stronger so Maha uses his Jewel of Jeopardy to feed power onto his goon. 36 pgs., full color. $0.30. "You Just Don't Quarrel With the Quintronic Man!", script by Len Wein, pencils by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Tom Palmer (finished art), inks by Tom Palmer; While the Hulk and Jim Wilson walk the streets of New York city, the green giant is spotted by the cops; The police starts firing but can't do much; So a heavy weight robot joins the battle: the Quintronic Man; With significant attacking power and driven by 5 men, the robot knocks the Hulk out using gas; The Hulk is locked in a truck's cage filled with gas; Jim is taken with them; But Wilson turns the steering wheel, crashing the truck to a wall; The cage cracks open, the gas is released and the jade mastodon wakes up very mad; The Quintronic Man efforts seem worthless so gas is tried again; But the Hulk covers the output hole with a piece of pavement; The robot is filled with gas affecting the pilots; The robot falls crashing a building; Victorious, Hulk grabs Jim and leaps away; At that moment, the Jack of Hearts shows up promising to capture the Hulk. 36 pgs., full color. $0.30. "The Circus of Lost Souls!", script by Len Wein, pencils by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Ernie Chan (finished art), inks by Ernie Chan; After waking up on a deserted beach, Hulk searches for food and finds a circus wagon; He approaches it but is attacked by its occupants; When they discover the Hulk's monstrous looks, they bound in friendship with the giant; They look different too: a very tall and skinny man, a very fat lady, a dwarf, a man with fur in his face and a beautiful siren called Meriam; Hulk decides to stay with his new friends; But during the trip they are attacked by the Circus of Crime commanded by the Ringmaster; The magician defeats the Hulk with hypnosis and locks everyone in cells; Hulk frees from the trance by thinking of Meriam and defeats the villains. 36 pgs., full color. $0.35.
