"Phantom of the Plains," pencils by Roger Armstrong, inks by Kaem Wong; Porky and Petunia go to the "Bar-Soap Ranch," owned by Petunia's uncle Baked Ham; On the way they are held up by Sylvester, who has been hypnotized by a criminal named Hypnotic Harry; Sylvester snaps out of his trance and the Sheriff arrives to explain the situation; The villain, dressed in a long black gown like the Phantom Blot, hitches a ride to the Bar-Soap Ranch where he kidnaps Petunia's uncle and leaves a note saying he prefers to be called "The Phantom" instead of Hypnotic Harry; Further investigation shows that Petunia's uncle had just found a map to a lost gold mine and that map is missing, too. 36 pgs., full color. $0.12.
