Stories and art by Sheldon Moldoff, Edd Ashe, and Eddie Robbins. For those who love a little horse opera with their soap opera, Fawcett presents tales of romance and heartbreak on the Western frontier. The opening caption for the first story sets the tone for the series: "When a raven-haired beauty with a temper to match meets a cowboy who isn't impressed by wild horses or angry women, under a canopy of glittering stars on the silver sage...the stage is set for a drama of lassoed hearts." They don't write 'em like that anymore. The name of the story and the heroine is, of course, My Darling Clementine; the cowboy she loves is named Clint. In another story, Nora loves Cliff, even though the town thinks he's a coward, but when they're trapped in a mine collapse, she learns how brave he really is. More poetry from the third story: "Out of the night he came, this tall, quiet stranger, and in his arms Laura found the tenderness and beauty of love. But a black shadow stood between them, and back into the night he went, leaving in her broken heart the echo of a dream that might have been." Plus a photo pinup of Rocky Lane. My Darling Clementine!; She Loved a Coward!; Melody Ames, the Prairie Troubadour, Part 1; Lady in Distress; The Tall Stranger; The Feud. 48 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
