Stories and art by Edd Ashe, King Ward, Mark Swayze and Al Carreno. Fawcett presents a one-shot anthology of early romance comics. Big Book Romances consisted of remaindered copies of other Fawcett romance comics. Each issue contained three Fawcett comics, bound together without separate covers. This issue may include Romantic Secrets (1949 Fawcett) #1, Sweethearts Vol. 1 (1948-1954) #71, and Life Story (1949) #1. After a mishap on a store escalator, "Boots" meets handsome doctor Larry, but she dreads taking him home to her large and disorderly family. Doris doesn't believe in the kind of love they talk about in the romance novels, until she meets Bob and literally gets weak in the knees. Switchboard operator Elissa falls for telephone lineman Lennie, in a story with some great art of a 1940s red convertible. When Love Is Gone; Tears for a Memory; Heart in the Clouds; My Yearning Heart. Other variants may exist. 144 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.25.
