    Volume 1 - 1st printing. By James Van Hise. Pioneer presents a series of books on the great superhero serials by James Van Hise, a writer who focuses on pulp, comics and sci-fi history. Radio superhero (and the Lone Ranger's 1930s nephew), The Green Hornet came to the screen in two Universal serials in 1940 and 1941, starring Gordon Jones and Keye Luke (as co-hero Kato). Interestingly, whenever Britt Reid put on the mask of The Green Hornet, his voice was dubbed by Al Hodge, who played GH on the radio. Screen credits are included for the completist.
