An expat living in Tokyo, he had his readers dare him to try all sorts of different things, and then chronicled the results through his strips. The results had him bravely experience Japanese culture and society head-on, from the exotic to the disgusting to the touristy to the quirkily revealing, in search of whatever the real Tokyo might be. Includes a fold-out comic centerfold, and guest pages by fellow cartoonists Kochalka and North. The title is the Japanese word for a kind of pocket notebook.
