It is the first part of a two part story. The story is self contained but has an opening into the second part. The book itself is a tie-in with the RPG with a few pages at the back with main character statistics for use with the game. The format is also designed to appeal to non-role-players or individuals who do not currently play the Cursed Empire FRPG.
