Story by Lee Falk. Art and cover by Ray Moore. Pacific Comics Club reprints the comic-strip adventures of the seemingly immortal crime-fighter called The Phantom. Collects The Phantom daily pages from December 16th, 1940 to July 12th, 1941, colorized (the original strips were in black and white). First printed in Italy for comics art collectors, this does not feature Lee Falk's original text, but is translated back into English from Italian. Likewise, the Phantom's costume is red on the cover, which is how the character appears in Italy. After his love Diana disappears in the jungles of Central America, The Phantom follows her trail to mysterious jungle ruins. Despite warnings from locals, he dares to investigate the mysterious trapdoor hidden in an ancient temple. 13-1/2-in. x 9-1/2-in., 48 pages, Full Color.
