A Japanese-American and military vet himself, Nomura presents the story from both sides, including historical background on the previous 100 years of Japanese history, and the nations fraught encounters with Western culture that led to the events of World War II. The cover lists the issue number as 2; issue 1 is actually the companion book, Hiroshima The Atomic Holocaust (2005) #1. 24 pages, B&W.
